Local community groups are invited to apply for
funding for specific projects that meet the following
criteria:
" Will be completed within a 36 month period
should funding be approved
" Will be of benefit to the community in and
around Skerries
" Fall within any or all of the following target
areas - youth, sports, the local community, the
environment
" Would require a fund allocation of not more
that 10,000 Euro, which is the maximum funding
that will be allocated from the fund in any one
year The project or program must:
" Offer services and activities without regard
to race, religion, creed, sex or sexual orientation.
" Not support individual applicants, stand alone
research or feasibility studies.
" Not support service clubs, labour, fraternal
or religious organisations.
" Not support advocacy or lobbying groups.
" Not support private clubs funded through private
membership.
" Not support commercial third-party fundraising.
" Not support political parties.
Applications for funding should be in written
form, detailing the proposed project. In particular,
the following information must be supplied:
" The name of the group and contact details
" A description of the proposed project
" When the project would be started and how long
it would take to complete
" Who would benefit from the project and how
" How much money is being requested
" Tax Clearance Certificate
It is a condition of acceptance of funding that
project progress will be provided and a written
report must be provided monthly. First Round Submissions
should be sent by email to funding@visitskerries.com
. First Round Submission Deadline is Monday 3rd
of March 2008.
